University of the People is a private online university that offers associate and bachelor’s degree programs in
business administration, computer science, and health science as well as
master’s degree programs in business administration and education. Find more

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate Admission For Domestic and International Students
To meet
admission requirements, applicants must:
--> Be
16 years old or older
--> Be
able to demonstrate high school completion
--> Have
English proficiency
To apply
for admissions consideration to UofPeople,
1) Applicants must complete an online
application. Once eligible to begin your studies, you are required to
submit a payment of a non-refundable Application Fee.
2) Entrance
exams are not required for admission – this means that you do not need to
submit any standardized test scores in order to be accepted to the online
degree program at UoPeople in Business Administration, Computer Science or
Health Science.
3) In order
to be accepted to an undergraduate degree program, students must successfully
complete the UoPeople Foundations Courses. Completing UoPeople Foundations is a
requirement for all UoPeople students. They are specifically designed to equip
students with the necessary skills needed to thrive in their chosen academic
degree studies at the University. At the undergraduate level, students must
complete two Foundations courses.
4) Once
students have successfully passed the UoPeople Foundations Courses and sent
their proof of high school completion document, they may continue as Degree
Seeking Students at UoPeople in their desired undergraduate degree program. The
UoPeople Foundations Courses count towards the associate’s and bachelor’s
degree credit requirements.
Graduate Admission for Domestic and International Students
Application Process:
Step 1:
--> Complete the online application
--> Pay the $60 non-refundable application
fee.
--> Demonstration of English proficiency is
required per the guidelines listed here. If you are not able to demonstrate
English proficiency, then you will be required to complete English Composition
1 course in your first term, before continuing to study in the Foundation
courses.
Step 2 – Application Process to
become a Degree-Seeking Student (DSS) in a Graduate Course
--> Successfully complete UoPeople Graduate
Foundations courses
--> Submit proof of undergraduate degree
** Submitting proof of undergraduate degree
completion may be satisfied during your first term at UoPeople through the
submission of:
1. official diploma (or transcript showing
graduation) sent directly to UoPeople (either mailed, submitted online or a
scanned copy sent electronically); or
2. a photocopy of the original diploma (or
transcript showing graduation) certified by a notary sent directly to UoPeople
(either mailed or submitted online);
--> Submit Resume showing at least two years
of work experience (MBA only)
--> Submit Letter of Recommendation (MBA
only)
**Applicants submit a formal letter of
recommendation from one individual who can write knowledgeably about their
academic background and/or work experience. The letter should be addressed to
the UoPeople Office of Admissions and include the recommender’s full name,
email address, and phone number including the country code.
TUITION
University
of the People (UoPeople) is the first non-profit, tuition-free, American
accredited online university. Students are however, asked to pay only $100
assessment fee at the end of each course ($200 in the MBA) thus a four-year
bachelor’s degree is only $4,060.
