Scholarship Summary:
Bridgewater College is offering academic merit scholarships to incoming freshmen (domestic and international) based on GPA. Guaranteed merit scholarships are based on a student’s cumulative weighted high school grade point average (GPA), and the merit level is established when an admission decision is made. If test scores are submitted, they will be considered during the application review and will not negatively impact the merit scholarship consideration.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0
Value of Scholarship:
The Bridgewater Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Trustee Scholarship: $5,500/year (4.00+ GPA)
ii. Provost’s Scholarship: $4,500/year (3.74-3.99 GPA)
iii. Dean’s Scholarship: $3,500/year (3.22-3.73 GPA)
iv. Crimson Scholarship: $2,500/year (3.21 GPA and under)
v. Out-of-State Incentive Scholarship: $1,000/year (for domestic students who do not reside in the state of Virginia and who are not eligible for the Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant)
Scholarship Application Guide:
Bridgewater determines eligibility for these awards based on high school GPA and test scores, and all students who apply for admission to BC are automatically considered.
