Scholarship Summary: 

The SFBU President's Scholarship program was established to honor meritorious and multifaceted students (domestic and international). Minimum eligibility does not guarantee a scholarship and so interested applicants are advised to apply early.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
These are the eligibility criteria for consideration;
For Undergraduate students
i. Applicants must be applying for a bachelor’s degree in computer science (BSCS) or business administration and information sciences (BBAIS)
ii. Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.00 scale
  • Freshmen applicants: High School CGPA
  • Transfer applicants (30 or more transferable units): College level CGPA
For Graduate students
i. Applicants must be applying for a master's degree in computer science (BSCS), electrical engineering (MSEE) or business administration (MBA)
ii. Minimum cumulative grade point average (undergraduate level) of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale

Please note that you need to meet the minimum English proficiency score (for non-native English speakers) on any of the following:
     a. TOEFL - 78 (iBT)
     b. TOEFL - Essentials - 8.0 band
     c. IELTS - 6.0 band
     d. PTE Academic - 58
     e. iTEP Academic - 4.0
     f. English proficiency requirement met based on the standard admissions requirements.

Value of Scholarship: 
The SFBU President's scholarship covers the full tuition cost for four years (or the duration of the program), provided the terms for renewal are met.

ii. Select the Scholarship Option in the online application
iii. Upload your Scholarship Statement
  • Scholarship/Personal Statement: Provide background and purpose for seeking the degree (tell about yourself, your academic background, strengths/weaknesses and career goals)
iv. Applicants will receive a decision after the Scholarship Committee reviews their eligibility
