Scholarship Summary:
Every Dominican student (domestic and international) is considered for an institutional merit scholarship as soon as they’re admitted to the University. Eligibility is based on a student's weighted high school GPA. Annual scholarship amounts are divided in half between the fall and spring semesters.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered, applicants must;
i. Earn a minimum high school GPA of 2.60 (out of 4.0)
Value of Scholarship:
The Merit scholarships are awarded as thus;
i. Trustee Scholarship: $28,000 per year (Requires a GPA of 3.85 or higher)
ii. Presidential Scholarship: $26,000 per year (Requires a GPA of 3.50 – 3.84)
iii. Dean’s Scholarship: $23,000 per year (Requires a GPA of 3.20 – 3.49)
iv. Dominican Scholarship: $21,000 per year (Requires a GPA of 3.00 – 3.19)
V. Alemany Scholarship: $16,000 per year (Requires a GPA of 2.60 – 2.99)
