Scholarship Summary:
The Meredith Full-Ride Merit Scholarship is the highest honor available to freshmen (domestic) entering Meredith College (a women’s college). The full-ride, four-year, merit-based scholarship is awarded based on superior academic record, demonstrated leadership and service to others, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a unweighted academic GPA of 3.75
ii. Inclusion in the top 10% of her high school graduating class (when rank is available)
iii. Demonstrated leadership in high school, the local community, and beyond
iv. Show evidence of demonstrated curiosity about the world
v. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Value of Scholarship:
The Full-Ride Merit Scholarship covers the cost of full tuition, room and board, books, supplies, international study, networking opportunities, and other academic enrichment programs with a total estimated value of $230,000 (over four years).

Step 1. Admitted Students by Dec 2, 2024 who meet the baseline criteria, are invited to apply for admission to the Honors program - Apply Online.
Step 2. Applicants who meet the criteria and show promise to be successful in Meredith’s Honors Program are invited to interview with a faculty member and a current Honors student at Scholars Day.
Step 3. Essays are reviewed by the director of the Honors program and, in some cases, by one additional faculty member.
Step 4. Final decisions on admission to Honors are made by the director of the Honors program.
Step 5. Applicants selected to interview for the Meredith College Full-Ride Scholarship are chosen from the Honors applicant pool.
Step 6. Program applicants who are selected to interview for the Presidential Scholarship will be notified prior to attending Scholars’ Day. Presidential Scholarship interviews occur with faculty, administrators and the President of Meredith.
- Fall 2025 Scholars' Day holds on the 8th of February, 2025 (registration deadline for Scholars’ Day is February 2, 2025)
Step 7. Full-Ride Scholarship recipients are notified by March 15.
