The University of Texas at Tyler offers the Honors Scholars Scholarship to incoming first-year domestic and international freshmen through both academic merit and competitive holistic review. The Honors Scholars scholarship recipients will be determined through a competitive process that places emphasis on the whole applicant, not just empirical data.

To be eligible for consideration, you must;
i. Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.75+ (out of 4.0) OR 29+ ACT OR 1350 SAT

Renewal Requirements:
1) Full-time enrollment, demonstration of progress toward degree completion at UT Tyler for the semester(s) awarded
2) Maintain at least a 3.2 GPA at UT Tyler
3) Remain in good standing with Honors Program participation requirements
4) Scholarship has 4 years of total eligibility if renewal requirements are met
Value of Scholarship:
The Honors Scholars Scholarship is valued as $10,000 annually.
Note:
a) Honors Scholars will live on campus in the Honors Living Learning Community
b) Students selected for the Honors Scholars Scholarship will be members of the UT Tyler Honors Program.
