International students who are recruited by and apply directly to the university as degree-seeking undergraduate students, and who will hold a temporary visa/status in the USA will be considered for International Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES-INTL).
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Scholarships are generally offered on the basis of a student’s academic merit. They vary according to a student’s earned high school grades (minimum 3.25 GPA out of 4), availability of funding, underrepresented country designation, and English proficiency scores.
Past recipients were in the top 20% of the international applicant pool.

i. Mississippi Premier Scholarship: $27,660 (3.9-4.0 GPA)
ii. Mississippi Champion Scholarship: $12,000 (3.75-3.89 GPA)
iii. Mississippi Magnolia Scholarship: $9,500 (3.5-3.74 GPA)
iv. Mississippi Legacy Scholarship: $5,000 (3.25-3.49 GPA)
Scholarships are generally offered for enrollment starting with a fall term, are non-deferrable and non-transferable, though are renewable, provided academic progression and grade requirements are met, and lawful presence in the USA is maintained.
