Scholarship Summary: 
Howard Payne University is offering academic merit scholarships to top-performing domestic freshmen students students with excellent academic credentials.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be in the top 50% of their graduating class OR 
ii. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 2.6
ii. Earn a minimum ACT score of 19 OR its SAT equivalent score of 990
Applicants MUST have of two of the three criteria.

Value of Scholarship: 
The HPU Academic merit scholarships are namely as follows;
i. Gen. MacArthur Honors Scholar: Full Tuition annually {(Top 10% at an Accredited High School or 3.80 GPA) AND (ACT 29 or SAT 1350 or CLT 91) Must have two of the three. Five Awards available}
ii. Honors Academy Scholar: $19,000 annually {(Top 10% at an Accredited High School or 3.80 GPA) OR (ACT 29 or SAT 1350 or CLT 91). Student also eligible to apply for the Honors Academy}
iii. Presidential Scholar: $16,500 annually {(Top 10% at an Accredited High School or 3.80 GPA) OR (ACT 29 or SAT 1350 or CLT 91) *Must have two of the three. Student also eligible to apply for the Honors Academy}
iv. Dean's Scholar: $16,000 annually {(Top 25% at an Accredited High School or 3.40 GPA) OR (ACT 24 or SAT 1160 or CLT 76) *Must have two of the three. Student also eligible to apply for the Honors Academy}
v. Yellow Jacket Scholar: $14,000 annually {(Top 50% at an Accredited High School or 2.60 GPA) OR (ACT 19 or SAT 990 or CLT 64) *Must have two of the three}
vi. Academic Incentive Grant: $7,000 annually {Awarded to students who demonstrate strong academic promise}
