Scholarship Summary: 
For 2024 entry, Birmingham Law School is offering the Harding International Legal Scholarship to international/EU students looking to undertake an LLM programme.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for consideration, you must meet the following criteria;
i. An International applicant:
Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.

ii. Self-funded:
You must be self-funding and have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.

iii. Applying to the LLM at the Birmingham campus:
You should have applied for an LLM via the relevant pathway course page on the Birmingham LLM section of the website and be planning to study at the Birmingham campus in Edgbaston.

Value of Scholarship: 
Recipients of the Harding International Legal Scholarship are offered a tailored package to support professional and personal development:
i. £5,000 financial scholarship as a fee waiver
ii. An introductory meeting with Birmingham Law School Staff

iv. Membership of the Birmingham Law Society

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply, you will need to complete the following;
1. Apply to study
Before applying to a College of Arts and Law scholarship, you must have completed an application to study a 
relevant course at Birmingham. To make an application to study, please visit your chosen course's webpage and select 'Apply for this course' on the right hand side of the page.

2. Complete funding application
Once you have made an application to study, you will need to complete the online scholarship application form before the stated deadline. On submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. 3. Submit references
Your application must also be supported by two references. It is your responsibility to forward the reference link to both of your nominated referees and tell them that their references must be submitted via the online form by the application deadline. Candidates are advised to contact referees ahead of the deadline to ensure that references have been completed and submitted.

Only references completed on the relevant online reference form will be accepted. Late references will not be considered.
