Heriot-Watt University is pleased to offer the Heriot-Watt Bursary, an income-related bursary, to eligible full-time students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland, payable in years 1, 2, 3 and 4 (year 5 not eligible).

In order to be eligible for this award, applicants must be:
i. Full-time students liable to pay £9,250 tuition fees and assessed as 'Rest of UK' for fees purposes.

The Heriot-Watt Bursary is valued as follows;
i. If household income is between £0 and £25,000, an award of £3,100 towards living costs will be made
ii. If household income is between £25,001 and £35,000, an award of £2,100 towards living costs will be made.
iii. If household income is between £35,001 and £42,600, an award of £1,100 towards living costs will be made.
The bursary, which is intended as a contribution to living costs, will be made in three instalments throughout the academic year, normally in October, February and April.

Scholarship Application Guide:
Admitted students do not need to complete an application form as these awards will be made automatically as long as financial assessment has been carried out by Student Finance. Students must also give Student Finance consent for information to be shared with the University in order for payment of the bursary to be made.
