The University of Lincoln is delighted to offer entry scholarships to high achieving postgraduate applicants from Africa. This scholarship is competitive and will only be awarded to candidates who demonstrate achievement in academia, extracurricular or personal endeavour.

In order to apply for this scholarship, prospective students must meet the following criteria:
i. Be a national of, or have permanent residence in Africa (excluding Egypt).
Value of Scholarship:
i. Be a national of, or have permanent residence in Africa (excluding Egypt).
ii. Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2025 or January 2026.
iii. Have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent qualification that leads to postgraduate study) from a recognised institution, and have obtained a minimum of a 2:2 classification (or an equivalent)
The African Scholarship will be awarded as follows;
1) A £5,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:
- a) Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or
- b) Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University
- a) Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:2 classification or
- b) Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

You do not need to apply for this scholarship. You will automatically be considered for the Africa Scholarship once you have submitted your application to study at the University of Lincoln.
