Scholarship Summary: 
To attract the best students regardless of background, the University of Strathclyde offers the Strathclyde Access Bursary of up to £3,000 per year of study. The Bursary is awarded to new undergraduate students from England, Northern Ireland and Wales who pay a tuition fee of £9,250 per year.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible to apply, you need to meet the following criteria:
i. You must be a new undergraduate student from England, Northern Ireland and Wales who is entering the University in the current academic year.
ii. You must pay a tuition fee of £9,250 per year.
iii. You must have a household income figure no more than £42,641 as calculated by Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Value of Scholarship: 
Recipients of the Strathclyde Access Bursary will receive the following amounts as follows;
i. Students with a household income of up to £25,000 will receive £3,000 per year.
ii. Students with a household income of between £25,001 to £35,000 will receive £2,000 per year.
iii. Students with a household income of between £35,001 to £42,641 will receive £1,000 per year.

Payments will be made into the same bank account as your student loan and will be made in 3 termly instalments. Payment of the Bursary is subject to your registration and ongoing attendance on your course.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
There is no separate application; eligible students will be identified automatically through their application to Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland. If you are eligible, you will receive a letter to the address held by the Student Loan Company (SLC) (usually your home address). This will be sent once your household income has been confirmed by SLC.
