Scholarship Summary:
Montevallo Academic scholarships are awarded based on the student’s (domestic and international) super-scored ACT or SAT and high school GPA. Most scholarships are renewable for three additional years with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA at UM along with maintaining full time status (12 hours/semester).
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0
ii. Have a minimum SAT score of 1060 or a minimum ACT score of 21
Value of Scholarship:
The University of Montevallo Freshmen Academic Scholarships is valued as follows;
i. Montevallo Academic Leadership Scholarship - $2,500 per year {3.0-3.49 GPA (without test scores)}
ii. Academic Recognition Scholarship - $4,500 per year {24-26 ACT or 1160-1250 SAT and 3.0 GPA OR 3.5-3.99 GPA (without test scores)}
iii. Freshman Leadership Scholarship - $6,000 per year {27-29 ACT or 1260-1350 SAT; 3.0 GPA OR 4.0+ GPA (without test scores)}
iv. Presidential Honors Scholarship - $9,000 per year {30-36 ACT or 1360-1600 SAT and 3.0 GPA}
Non-resident students awarded a UM-funded scholarship based on a particular talent or ability may also receive the Out-of-State Scholarship. The award is valued at approximately $13,000 per year and puts the non-resident student at the in-state tuition rate.

Entering freshmen must submit an application for admission to the University along with an official high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores by the February 1 priority deadline for consideration.
