Scholarship Summary:
Washington & Lee is committed to meeting 100% of every admitted student's demonstrated financial need through grants, scholarships and guaranteed campus work without the need for loans. W&L also provides need-based grants to students whose families demonstrate financial need. Eligibility for these grants is based on an assessment of the family’s income and assets.
All First-Year applicants including domestic, international and undocumented students are eligible and encouraged to apply for the W&L freshman scholarships.

Value of Scholarship:

- A complete Common Application, including the W&L Johnson Scholarship supplement, which consists of a second personal essay.
- An official copy of your high school transcript
- Self-reported or official scores from the SAT or ACT (optional) {W&L's SAT code is 5887 and W&L's ACT code is 4430}
- Two Teacher recommendations
- One Guidance Counsellor recommendation and secondary school form
