Scholarship Summary:
MTSU awards an array of academic merit scholarship opportunities based on ACT scores and GPA. Domestic students who will be joining MTSU in the summer or fall semesters, who apply by the priority deadline, AND who meet minimum eligibility requirements for the following awards will be offered the appropriate scholarship as long as funding is available.
Students can receive these scholarships for up to four years (or 8 semesters) as long as the scholarship renewal eligibility requirements are met after each semester.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum 3.5 high school GPA
ii. Have a minimum 22 ACT/1100 SAT
iii. Must be US Citizen or permanent resident
iv. Be a first-time incoming freshman who plans to enroll at MTSU in the Summer or Fall semester.
Value of Scholarship:
The MTSU freshman guaranteed scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Centennial Scholarship - $8,000 {34-36 ACT or 1490-1600 SAT and 3.5 GPA}
ii. Trustee Scholarship - $5,000 {30-33 ACT or 1360-1480 SAT and 3.5 GPA}
Value of Scholarship:
The MTSU freshman guaranteed scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Centennial Scholarship - $8,000 {34-36 ACT or 1490-1600 SAT and 3.5 GPA}
ii. Trustee Scholarship - $5,000 {30-33 ACT or 1360-1480 SAT and 3.5 GPA}
iii. Presidential Scholarship - $4,500 {25-29 ACT or 1200-1350 SAT and 3.5 GPA}
iv. True Blue Scholarship - $3,500 {22-24 ACT or 1100-1190 SAT and 3.5 GPA}
iv. True Blue Scholarship - $3,500 {22-24 ACT or 1100-1190 SAT and 3.5 GPA}
Scholarship Application Guide:
Eligible Students must have ALL of the following on file with the Admissions Office by December 1 to be considered for a scholarship:
i. Application for admissions as a new Incoming Freshman
ii. Admissions Application fee paid
iii. Qualifying official ACT and/or SAT test score (without the writing subscore); Students must have an official ACT/SAT test score on file by December 1st and be admitted to MTSU to be reconsidered for a scholarship award or upgrade due to a higher December test score.
iv. Qualifying official sixth-semester high school transcript with cumulative GPA requirement (transcript must reflect GPA through end of junior year).
No separate scholarship application is required for guaranteed academic scholarships.
