2025 Application Guide for Goshen College Intercultural Leadership Award

Scholarship Summary: 
The Intercultural Leadership Award is for incoming first-generation students of color (US citizens and residents only) who have demonstrated a distinguished academic record, leadership potential and commitment to giving back to their community. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
In order to qualify to apply, a student must meet the following criteria:
Be of African-American, Hispanic/Latino-, Asian- or Native-American heritage
First-generation college applicant
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card
Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
Score at least 970 on the SAT OR at least 18 on the ACT (though we are ACT/SAT test-optional this year)
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by your state’s deadline

Value of Scholarship: 
The ILA scholarship is valued as $25,000 a year and is renewable for a total of eight consecutive semesters based on academic performance and program participation.
Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. You will need to submit a completed application to Goshen College (including an official transcript and test scores, though we are ACT/SAT test-optional this year). by the priority application deadline, Jan. 1
ii. Complete the Achievement Scholarship Application by Jan 15 (you need to be admitted before scholarship application will be reviewed)
iii. Selected applicants will be invited to participate in Scholarship Day (Jan. 25, 2025).
