Scholarship Summary:
University of Alberta is awarding admission-based scholarships to all eligible Canadian undergraduates. Your eligibility will be based on your high school admission average at the time of your admission offer and you will be automatically assessed for the available scholarships. Entrance award offers are conditional on the accuracy of your self-recorded grades.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Present an admission average that meets or exceeds those required for the specific scholarship or award.
ii. Be entering university directly from high school with fewer than 12 credits of university course work taken during high school or following time taken off between high school and university, provided that no post-secondary credit was received during that time.
iii. Be entering the first year of full-time studies in an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta in September of the upcoming year.
Value of Scholarship:
The University of Alberta Admission-based Undergraduate Scholarships are as follows;
i. Gold Standard Scholarship: up to CAD$6,000 (for the top 5% of students in each faculty)
ii. Indigenous Entrance Scholarship: valued as CAD$1,500 (for self-declaring First Nations, Métis, or Inuit applicants with an admission average of 80%+)
iii. National Achievement Scholarship for top incoming out-of-province Canadian students: valued as CAD$30,000, payable over four years
