Scholarship Summary:
EKU is awarding merit scholarships to eligible first-time freshmen students who are residents of Kentucky state based on their high school GPA and ACT score.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (unweighted)
Value of Scholarship:
The EKU In-State Freshmen Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Merit Tier 1 Scholarship: $8,000 annually {3.8–4.0 GPA and 28+ ACT}
ii. Merit Tier 2 Scholarship: $5,000 annually {3.8–4.0 GPA and 24-27 ACT}
iii. Merit Tier 3 Scholarship: $1,500 annually {3.4+ GPA}
iv. Merit Tier 4 Scholarship: $1,000 annually {3.0–3.39 GPA}
v. Madison County Promise: $1,000 {2.5 – 2.9 GPA, Must be from Madison County, KY}
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no separate scholarship application; simply apply for admission and be admitted to EKU by March 1st to be considered for a merit scholarship.
