Scholarship Summary:
MSU is delighted to offer a host of merit scholarships to Kentucky resident freshmen students with excellent academic records.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 (unweighted)
ii. Obtain a minimum composite ACT score of 21 or higher
Value of Scholarship:
The Morehead Kentucky Freshmen Scholarships are valued as follows;
1. MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
i. 3.0+ GPA & 21+ ACT: $3,000
ii. 3.25+ GPA & 21+ ACT: $4,000
iii. 3.25+ GPA & 25+ ACT: $6,000
iv. 3.5+ GPA & 25+ ACT: $6,500
v. 3.8+ GPA & 25+ ACT: $7,000
vi. 3.8+ GPA & 28+ ACT: $9,000
2. SPECIALIZED AUTOMATIC INCOMING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
i. Alumni Scholarship: $1,000 (Child, grandchild or spouse of an active MSU alumnus)
ii. Governor's Awards (Alumnus of GSP, GSA, GSE): $8,000 (Alumnus of one of these three programs; 23 ACT & 3.5 GPA)
iii. Governor's Awards+ (Alumnus of GSP, GSA, GSE): $10,000 (Alumnus of one of these three programs; 25 ACT & 3.5 GPA)
iv. Rogers Scholar Award: Full tuition (22 ACT, 3.5 GPA & Rogers Scholar alumnus)
v. Rogers Scholar Award+: Full tuition & housing (28 ACT, 3.75 GPA & Rogers Scholar alumnus)
All above scholarships are renewable annually, provided the renewal criteria are met.
