Scholarship Summary:
MSU is delighted to offer a host of merit scholarships to non-resident domestic freshmen students with excellent academic records.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 (unweighted)
ii. Obtain a minimum composite ACT score of 21 or higher
iii. Stay on-campus housing for at least four semesters
Value of Scholarship:
The Morehead Out-of-State Freshmen Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Tier 1: $10,000 per year {3.75 GPA and 28+ ACT}
ii. Tier 2: $7,000 per year {3.5 GPA and 24+ ACT}
iii. Tier 3: $4,500 per year {3.0 GPA and 21+ ACT}
For students in reciprocity counties
i. Tier 1: $7,000 per year {3.75 GPA and 28+ ACT}
ii. Tier 2: $4,000 per year {3.5 GPA and 24+ ACT}
iii. Tier 3: $1,500 per year {3.0 GPA and 21+ ACT}
For students from Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee
i. Eagle Leaders: $11,000 per year {2.85 GPA and 21+ ACT}
For students from Virginia and West Virginia
i. SOAR Higher: Full Tuition per year {3.0 GPA and 21+ ACT}
