All international undergraduate students applying to Trent are automatically considered for Trent University Entrance Scholarships, which are awarded for academic excellence.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. You must be an international student paying international fees.
ii. You must be studying in Canada on a study permit.
iii. You must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at Trent University.
- Postgraduate certificates and graduate-level students are not eligible.
iv. You must meet Trent University’s Admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Proficiency Requirements.
v. You have a final high school average of 80% or more (Canadian Equivalent).
vi. You will need to fulfill the conditions of your conditional offer letter and register for courses to receive the scholarship amount.
Value of Scholarship:
The Trent International Undergraduate Entrance Award is valued as follows;
i. Admission Average of 95%+: CAD$5,500/year
ii. Admission Average of 90 - 94.9%: CAD$4,500/year
iii. Admission Average of 85 – 89.9%: CAD$3,500/year
iv. Admission Average of 80 – 84.9%: CAD$2,500/year
Renewing your Entrance Scholarship
The Entrance Scholarship can be renewed at the beginning of each new academic year of your undergraduate program. The Entrance Scholarship changes to the In-course Scholarship after your first year at Trent University. The In-course Scholarship represents the renewable portion of the Entrance Scholarship and requires an application each year through your myTrent portal.
