'25 York University Undergraduate Automatic Entrance Scholarships (Canada Based)

Applications for this scholarship will end as follows;
i. For Ontario students: 15th of January, 2025 
ii. For non-Ontario Canadian students: 3rd of February, 2025  

Scholarship Summary: 
York University is awarding automatic entrance scholarships to incoming Canadian undergraduate students based on mid-year or "in-progress" results when their admission average is at or above 80%. All Entrance Scholarship amounts and eligibility are confirmed/finalized based on final grades.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum admission average of 80%
ii. Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons 
iii. Be applying to a direct-entry undergraduate program

Value of Scholarship: 
The York Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is vaued as follows;
i. For Admission Average of 95%+ (42-45 IB diploma points): CAD$4,000 
ii. For Admission Average of 90-94.9% (36-41 IB diploma points): CAD$2,500
iii. For Admission Average of 85-89.9% (33-35 IB diploma points): CAD$1,500
iv. For Admission Average of 80-84.9% (30-32 IB diploma points): CAD$1,000

The York Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is renewable at all tiers based on grade point average and course load requirements. To renew York University Automatic Entrance Scholarships, recipients must maintain a minimum 8.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) over a minimum of 24 credits taken during the entire academic year (previous Summer and Fall/Winter sessions).

Recipients of this scholarship who elect to participate in an exchange program in years 2, 3 or 4 will also receive the York University Study Abroad Award, valued at $1,500.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
No award application is required; eligible applicants will be automatically considered for these awards upon admission.
