Scholarship Summary:
Carleton University is awarding a number of prestige scholarships to the topmost performing students (Canadian and international) of the incoming undergraduate class. The selection committee will assess applicants based on their academic performance and the range of their community or secondary school extra-curricular activities.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
You will be considered for a prestige scholarship only if;
i. You are entering Carleton directly from high school or CEGEP (students who have previously attended a post-secondary educational institution {either college or university} are not eligible for these awards).
ii. You have achieved an admission average of 90% or better.
iii. You have demonstrated leadership roles in their extra- curricular activities throughout school.
Value of Scholarship:
The Carleton Prestige Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Chancellor’s Scholarship: CAD$7,500 per year {Renewable for three years, 10 awards available}
ii. Richard Lewar Entrance Scholarship: CAD$6,500 in the first year and $5,000 in second, third and fourth year {7 awards available}
iii. Carleton University Scholarships of Excellence: CAD $5,000 per year {Renewable for three years, 3 awards available}
iv. Carleton University SHAD Scholarship: CAD $5,000 per year {Renewable for three years, 2 awards available}
v. Woo Family and CAA Scholarship: CAD$5,000 per year {Renewable for three years}
vi. Riordon Scholarship: Full Tuition annually (capped at Canadian domestic tuition) {Renewable for three years, one award available}
vii. Collins Prestige Scholarship: Full Tuition annually (capped at Canadian domestic tuition) {Renewable for three years, one award available}
viii. Carleton Capital Scholarship: CAD $2,000 {Non-renewable, 13 awards available with one recipient from each province and territory in Canada; awarded in addition to other Entrance or Prestige Scholarships}
All above scholarships are renewable with an annual GPA of 10.0

i. Complete an application for admission into Carleton
ii. Complete and submit the Prestige scholarship application
- Submit your application by sending an email to awards@carleton.ca. When you send the email, make sure that:
- The application is signed
- You attach both the application and the reference letter
- You include your student number
