Scholarship Summary:
Gordon awards merit-based scholarships to incoming freshman (domestic and international) based on academic achievement and excellence. These can be renewed annually, as long as you consistently meet grade point average (GPA) requirements.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration but recipients were in the top 35% of the applicant pool.
Value of Scholarship:
The Gordon Freshmen Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
For Domestic students
i. Founder’s Scholarship: $14,000 per year
ii. Harold John Ockenga Scholarship: $13,000 per year
iii. T. Leonard Lewis Scholarship: $12,000 per year
iv. Isabel Warwick Wood Scholarship: $11,000 per year
v. F.L. Chappell Award: $10,000 per year
For International students
i. R. Judson Carlberg Global Scholarship I: $14,000 per year
ii. R. Judson Carlberg Global Scholarship II: $12,000 per year
iii. David Franz Global Scholarship: $10,000 per year
