Scholarship Summary: 
Harvard is committed to affordability and awards scholarships that are designed to cover 100% of an applicant’s (domestic and international) demonstrated financial need. Admission to Harvard is “need-blind”, which means that there is no admissions disadvantage in applying for aid.

When you qualify for financial aid from Harvard, the Admissions Office uses a combination of resources to create an individualized aid package to meet your demonstrated need. This may include scholarship funds and student employment, as well as any awards you’ve earned from outside sources. Foreign students have the same access to financial aid funding as U.S. citizens.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Meet the Harvard admission requirements and apply before the January 1st deadline
ii. Have demonstrated financial need

Value of Scholarship: 
The Harvard Need-Based Financial Package will cover 100% of a recipient’s demonstrated need which could reach up to the full cost of undergraduate study.

Statistics to note:
55% of undergraduates receive need-based Harvard scholarships.
25% of Harvard parents have total incomes less than $85,000 and are not expected to contribute.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. File the online CSS Profile via the College Board, starting September. Make sure to include Harvard as a recipient using the code 3434.

ii. File the 2025-26 FAFSA, which is available online or as a mobile app, available December (or possibly sooner). Remember to include Harvard’s code E00468 so that the school receives the FAFSA. This form is to be filled by only US citizens and permanent residents.

iii. Submit tax and other documents through the College Board IDOC Service, which is a fast and secure way to upload your information for review. The IDOC Service is open to all applicants who have already completed a CSS Profile. IDOC will show a list of basic documents to be uploaded.
