Scholarship Summary:
All applicants (Canadian and International) to McGill undergraduate degree programs are automatically considered for a one-year entrance scholarship provided they meet the minimum academic requirements.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements;
i. For QUEBEC CEGEP: Minimum 36 overall cote de rendement au collégial (CRC)
ii. For Canadian High School (outside Quebec and Ontario): Minimum 97% average on all academic grade 12 and grade 11 level courses and/or rank in top 1% of class
iii. For Ontario High School: Minimum 97% overall average on all 3U, 3M, 4U and 4M courses and/or rank in top 1% of class
iv. For United States High School: Minimum A, 4.00 GPA, or equivalent unweighted average over last two years of full-time studies, and a minimum score of 730 in each SAT test or a minimum composite score of 33 in the ACT test and/or rank in top 1% of class.
v. For Overseas High School: Minimum A average (approximately 97.0% or equivalent) over last two years of full-time study and/or rank in top 1% of class
vi. Advanced Levels: MINIMUM of 4 A-Level/CAPE/Pre-U subjects with predicted or final grades of A*A*A*A* (or equivalent), plus AS (if written) and GCSE/IGCSE/O-Level results also with A grades.
vii. International Baccalaureate: 41 subject points (not including bonus points) on predicted or final grades
viii. French Baccalaureate: MINIMUM overall average of 18, with minimum score of 15 in each course
Please note: even if you meet the minimum requirements, you are not guaranteed an offer of entrance scholarship.
Value of Scholarship:
The McGill One-year Entrance Scholarship is a one-time award, valued as CAD$3,000.
Scholarship Application Guide:
This scholarship is awarded solely on the basis of academic achievement, so no separate application is required.
However, you must include the following supporting documents in your application for admission to McGill:
- All grades and interim grades granted up to the admissions application deadline date
- Subsequent grades (interim or final) forwarded to the admissions office as soon as they are issued
