Scholarship Summary:
Mount St. Mary’s merit scholarships are academic scholarships based on several criteria including course achievement and rigor of curriculum*, standardized tests (SAT, ACT and/or CLT**) for students that choose to submit them, engagement in extracurricular activities, and a holistic review of other supporting application materials. Financial need is not a factor in our merit-based award decisions. Both domestic and international students are considered.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must;
• Be admitted for undergraduate study at Mount St. Mary's
Value of Scholarship:
The Mount St. Mary’s Freshman Academic Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Trustee Scholarship: $33,000 per year {Required: 3.75 GPA with a demanding course selection}
ii. Presidential Scholarship: $31,000 per year {Required: 3.5 – 4.0 GPA with a demanding course selection}
iii. Provost’s Scholarship: $30,000 per year {Required: 3.0 – 4.0 GPA with a demanding course selection}
iv. Dean’s Scholarship: $27,000 per year {Required: 3.0 – 3.75 GPA with a demanding course selection}
v. University Scholarship: $24,000 per year {Required: 2.99 and below GPA with a demanding course selection}
Note: International Student Scholarships range in amount up to but not more than about one-third of the total budget of the educational and living costs.
