Scholarship Summary:
Nichols academically-based merit scholarships are awarded to qualified, full-time, incoming freshmen (domestic and international) who displayed academic excellence in high school. Amounts awarded are determined by a combination of factors including but not limited to SAT scores, cumulative GPA, and extracurricular activities. Merit scholarships are fully renewable as long as students maintain satisfactory academic progress while studying at Nichols.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.0
Value of Scholarship:
The Nichols Freshman Academic Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. President’s Scholarship: $25,000 (GPA 3.5+)
ii. Trustees’ Scholarship: $23,000 (GPA 3.00 – 3.49)
iii. Dean’s Scholarship: $21,000 (GPA 2.50 – 2.99)
iv. Faculty Award: $16,000 (GPA 2.00 – 2.49)
Students must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or higher and continue to be enrolled full-time while completing 12 credit hours or more per semester.

There is no separate scholarship application; all applicants receive merit scholarship consideration as part of the application process.
