Scholarship Summary: 
The Springfield Community Leadership Scholarship will be awarded to 8 students (domestic and international) entering in fall, who have an exceptional record of community engagement and service, as well as clearly defined commitments to enter a field after graduation where community leadership is central. Financial need is not a factor.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants;
i. Must have been admitted to a graduate degree program at Springfield College.  
ii. Must be newly admitted graduate students in good standing with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of no less than a 3.0 or a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.5. GPA is recalculated at the point of scholarship consideration.

Returning graduate students are not eligible.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Springfield Community Leadership Scholarship is valued as $5,000 for two years of full-time study.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Applicants must submit the Community Leadership Scholarship Application, a personal statement along with a current resume to the Office of Graduate Admissions by the deadline.
ii. Two letters of recommendation are required. One must be academic in nature. These may be sent separately from your application and should come directly from the recommender. They must be received on or before March 1 by the Office of Graduate Admissions. Recommenders should speak to your academic success, achievements, and personal traits. 
iii. Academic transcripts, currently on file with the Office of Graduate Admissions, will be used in the selection process.
