Scholarship Summary: 
UCW offers up to 20 Founder’s Scholarships to full-time Canadian students entering undergraduate degree programs. Scholarship students are required to maintain full-time enrolment and will be responsible for paying regular student fees and purchasing textbooks. 


Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must meet these requirements:
Canadian citizenship or permanent residency (at the time of application); and,
Graduation from high school within the past 12 months with a minimum cumulative grade point average (4.00).

Value of Scholarship: 
The UCW Founder’s Scholarship is an annual full tuition award. Recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.2 to receive second and subsequent payments.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Apply for admission and complete the Founder’s Scholarship application by May 31st (of the year the program commences);
ii. Personal Statement
  • This statement (approximately. 1,000 words) should describe how undertaking an undergraduate degree program at UCW will impact the applicant’s career and personal goals.
  • The personal statement submitted with the Scholarship & Awards Application is final; no updated personal statements will be reviewed.
iii. Letter of Recommendation
  • This recommendation letter should be from an educator or a community leader.
iv. Students may be contacted by UCW for an interview before determining an outcome for an award application.
