2025 Application Guide for University of Louisiana Monroe Out-of-State Freshman Scholarships

Scholarship Summary: 
ULM is delighted to award the Out-of-State Academic Scholarship to top-performing out-of-state domestic and international freshmen students entering in fall.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To qualify for the Warhawk Out-of-State Freshman Scholarships, non-resident and international students must meet the following academic requirements:
i. Obtain a minimum 3.0 GPA
ii. Obtain a minimum 20 ACT score or 1030 SAT score

Value of Scholarship: 
The ULM Freshman Academic Scholarships are valued as follows;
For Domestic Students 
i. President’s Distinguished Scholarship*: $6,000 {ACT 33–36} 
ii. President’s Distinguished Scholarship*: $6,000 {ACT 30–32} 
iii. Academic Excellence Scholarship: $4,000 {ACT 27–29}
iv. Academic Merit Scholarship: $2,000 {ACT 23–26
v. Ace’s Award: $1,500 {ACT 20–22} 
vi. Housing Award: $2,000 - $7,550
vii. Out of State Warhawk Scholarship: $12,100

For International Students 
i. President’s Distinguished Scholarship: $5,000 {SAT 1360–1600} 
ii. Academic Excellence Scholarship: $3,500 {SAT 1260–1350}
iii. Academic Merit Scholarship: $1,500 {SAT 1130–1150
iv. Academic Merit Scholarship: $1,000 {SAT 1030–1120} 
vi. Housing Award: $1,000 - $3,000
vii. Out of State Warhawk Scholarship: $12,100

*Domestic Students with a 30-32 will be awarded a laptop, and students with a 33-36 will be awarded a laptop and a study abroad stipend (up to $4,500) sponsored by the President’s Top Hawks Fund.

Academic scholarships are awarded for eight semesters or until graduation (Bachelor’s), whichever comes first, and provided all specified retention criteria are met.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To be considered for a ULM Academic Scholarship, applicants must:
Apply by the above deadlines and be a first-time freshman in the fall, no more than one year following graduation from high school
• Qualify with a final, cumulative, unweighted high school GPA.  
• Earn minimum ACT/SAT qualifying scores. Scores must be submitted directly to ULM from ACT (ULM Code 1598) or SAT (ULM Code 6482) by July 15th to be eligible for any academic scholarships.
