Scholarship Summary:
Aston University has a proud network of Global Ambassadors, made up of international students (including the EU) who share their story and experience of studying at Aston with others around the world. Global Ambassadors represent Aston University in many different ways, such as attending events and Open Days, making videos and posting on social media, and speaking to people about what life is like as an international student at Aston. This scholarship is available for students applying to undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes (excluding Medicine and the MBA) starting in September 2023.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
A student may be eligible for this scholarship if:
a) They are classed as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes and they are not defined as studying for an Equivalent or Lower Qualification (as defined on the Aston website);
b) They are holding an offer for a full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught programme at Aston University which will start in the Autumn Term commencing September;
c) They meet all of the conditions set out in their offer letter;
d) They pay their deposit by the deadline stipulated in their offer letter; and
e) They attain the appropriate IELTS (if applicable) prior to commencing their studies at Aston University.
Value of Scholarship:
Successful applicants will be awarded £5,000 to help with tuition fees. Successful applicants are required to become a Global Ambassador and will help to represent Aston University flexibly alongside their studies.
As well as receiving the scholarship, you will also be given priority consideration for paid work with the international marketing and recruitment team, which will provide valuable work experience.

To apply;
i. You will need to log into your My Aston Portal (MAP) account, where you will find a link to the scholarship application form. Details on how to access your MAP account can be found in your offer email.
ii. You will need to create a 1 minute video to answer the question - "Why did you choose to study at Aston University?"
- To ensure a fair application process, if your video is longer than 1 minute Aston will only consider the first 1 minute of the video.
- Please upload your video to YouTube (or an alternative platform such as Bilibili if YouTube is not available in your country) and submit the link on the ‘Global Ambassador Scholarship application’ page on My Aston Portal (MAP) account.
