Scholarship Summary:
The University of Hull, in partnership with the British Council, will be awarding the University of Hull – GREAT Scholarship 2025 – to students in Bangladesh, India Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand and Turkey applying for postgraduate courses in September 2025.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for the University of Hull – GREAT Scholarships 2025, you will need to:
i. Be a citizen and hold a passport of one of the following eligible countries; Bangladesh, India Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand and Turkey
ii. Have received an offer of study on a postgraduate taught degree programme at the University of Hull.
iii. Have achieved, or working towards, a 2:1 degree or equivalent in their undergraduate programme recognised by the University of Hull
iv. Have achieved IELTS 6.5 overall, with 5.5 in each skill or equivalent before the application deadline
v. Have not previously studied in the UK
Value of Scholarship:
One successful applicant in each of the categories listed below will receive an award of £10,000 (GBP) in the form of a tuition fee reduction.
- 1 x Bangladeshi student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.
- 1 x Indian student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.
- 1 x Indonesian student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.
- 1 x Mexican student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.
- 1 x Thai student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.
- 1 x Turkish student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.
Successful applicants will be required to pay a £4,000 tuition fee deposit to secure their place on their programme.
