Scholarship Summary:
If you are applying from England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland and you choose to study your undergraduate degree at Glasgow Caledonian University, you may be eligible to receive £6,000 cashback and a final-year fee waiver.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship;
1. It is open to any full-time undergraduate applicant from England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland who will be paying their tuition fee via a Loans from SAAS, Student Finance England, Student Finance Northern Ireland, or Student Finance Wales or self-funding.
2. Awards are only available to students who have been classed as full-time RUK fee payers by GCU.
3. Final year waiver is applicable only to students who have commenced their studies from year 1 and is not applicable to direct 2nd/3rd year entrants
4. Applicants must be available to take up their place on the course in September 2025. Awards cannot be deferred.
Value of Scholarship:
The RUK (Rest of the UK) and Ireland Common Good Bursary entitles you to:
- £2,000 cash bursary for each of the first three years of your degree years paid over three instalments each year.
- A tuition fee waiver in your final year if you are completing a four-year honours programme worth £9,535
For the following five-year programmes, you will receive a £2,000 cash bursary for each of the first four years paid over three instalments and a final year fee waiver worth £9,535.

- MEng Electrical Power Engineering
- Meng Mechanical Engineering
- MOptom (IP) Optometry with Independent Prescribing
