Scholarship Summary:
Kingston University International Development is offering 8 part-tuition scholarships to successful international undergraduate and postgraduate applicants joining in September 2023 for their first year of study. All applications received by the deadline will receive equal consideration.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
You can apply for an International Scholarship if you meet all of the following criteria:
• you are an international student, classified as paying 'overseas fees'
• you have received an offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate course at Kingston University
• you are not currently registered on a Kingston University degree or foundation course
Please note that the International Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the following:
• academic merit (your grades from previous study)
• what you expect to gain from your Kingston degree course
• what you expect to do after completing the course
Value of Scholarship:
The Kingston University International Scholarship is worth a £5,000 tuition fee deduction. If you are paying by instalments, you will receive the £5,000 deduction on your last instalment. If you are paying your full tuition fees in advance, you should deduct the £5,000 from your total fees.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. All the following supporting documents must be uploaded as part of your online International Scholarship application (Kingston cannot accept supporting documents by email). Incomplete applications (those missing any of the required documents below) will not be processed.
a. Offer email
- The offer email (conditional or unconditional) you received from Kingston, saved as PDF or Word format.
b. Personal Statement (maximum 500 words)
- Why do you want to study at Kingston University?
- How you intend to use your experience and knowledge in the future?
- Why are you a good ambassador for Kingston University?
- Your long-term goals.
c. Video introduction of yourself (3 minutes max):
- The video needs to be created by yourself and uploaded on YouTube, Box or any website where you can upload and share video files (please don’t send us the video file as this is too large)
- It is meant to serve as an introduction of yourself and why you want to be an ambassador for Kingston University
- In the video you can answer the following:
- Where are you from?
- Why you want to study at Kingston University?
- How you plan to be an ambassador for Kingston University?
- What do you look forward to about living in the UK?
- Tell about your hobbies and interests!
- Be creative and express yourself!
- Kingston is not judging the quality of the filming so it can be done on a mobile phone or similar
d. What is my Kingston Student ID number?
- • Your Kingston Student ID number will be a seven-digit number starting with K (e.g. K1234567) on your course offer email.
ii. All applicants must receive an email with a final decision by mid-July.
