Scholarship Summary:
The University of Westminster is awarding the Undergraduate Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship to Home undergraduate students from a Black, Asian or mixed ethnic backgrounds during their higher education at the University of Westminster.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following conditions;
• You must hold a September 2024 course offer for a full-time undergraduate degree at the University of Westminster.
• Assessed as Home student for fee purposes
• You must have a Household Income of £25,000 or below as assessed by the Student Loans Company.
• New entrants only, current students at the University of Westminster are not eligible to apply
• Have met all eligibility criteria as outlined on the application form
• Not already been awarded a degree;
• Have applied for the maximum student support available from the Student Loans Company (SLC), including maintenance loan.
• Must be from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic background.
Please note that the selection is based on financial need and personal statement.
Value of Scholarship:
The Westminster Undergraduate Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is valued as £5,000 per year towards maintenance costs or tuition fees up to a maximum of 3 years.
The scholarship will be paid in January each academic year via BACS into a student’s chosen bank account or paid directly to the University in the first semester of each year if the student chooses the scholarship to go towards tuition fee costs. Students must remain eligible to receive the scholarship during each subsequent academic year and meet all yearly requirements for progression.
