Scholarship Summary: 
The International Academic award is an undergraduate tuition reduction offered to residents of countries (international) other than the United States.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Eligible students must;
i. Be enrolling for the first time in a degree program at WSU 
ii. Not hold immigrant status in the U.S. and pay non-resident tuition.
iii. Obtain a minimum GPA of 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) 

Value of Scholarship: 
The WSU International Freshmen Merit Scholarships are namely as follows;
i. Level 1 Award: $4,000 per academic year {Cumulative GPA of 3.6+ (on a 4.0 scale)}
ii. Level 2 Award: $2,000 per academic year {Cumulative GPA of 3.3-3.59 (on a 4.0 scale)}

Awards are distributed during both fall and spring semesters. You may renew both levels of awards for five additional semesters, provided you maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher and earn at least 24 graded credits per year.
