Scholarship Summary:
Academic merit scholarships are automatically awarded to qualified domestic students who apply for admission into Missouri State University by February 1 of their senior year. Students who apply after February 1 may be considered on an individual basis if funding is available.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for scholarship consideration,
For Combined GPA and test scores Scholarships
i. Get a minimum GPA and standardized test score combination (find score grid in the scholarship link below)
For GPA-only Scholarships
i. Obtain a minimum GPA score of 3.7
Value of Scholarship:
The MSU Domestic Freshman Scholarships are valued as follows;
For Combined GPA and test scores Scholarships
i. Board of Governors Scholarship: $5,500 + $1,000 for on-campus housing per year
ii. Provost Scholarship: $3,000 + $1,000 for on-campus housing per year
iii. Deans Scholarship: $2,000 + $1,000 for on-campus housing per year
All recipients of the above scholarships have access to a $1,000 education abroad voucher and Non-Missouri residents will also receive a full waiver of non-resident fees.
For GPA-only Scholarships
i. Academic Excellence Scholarship: $2,000 per year (3.9+ GPA)
ii. Academic Distinction Scholarship: $1,500 per year (3.8-3.89 GPA)
iii. Academic Achievement Scholarship: $1,000 per year (3.7-3.79 GPA)
