Shawnee State University is awarding merit scholarships to incoming freshmen students (domestic and international) who have performed excellently in their academic work.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.2
ii. Obtain a minimum ACT score of 21 or higher or SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1060+
Value of Scholarship:
The Shawnee State University Freshmen Merit Awards are valued as follows;
i. Shawnee Achievement Award: $5,000 per year (3.8+ GPA and 27+ ACT/1260+ SAT)
ii. Shawnee Excellence Award: $4,000 per year (3.6+ GPA and 25+ ACT/1200+ SAT)
iii. Shawnee Success Award: $3,000 per year (3.4+ GPA and 23+ ACT/1130+ SAT)
iv. Blue & Gray Award: $2,000 per year (3.2+ GPA and 21+ ACT/1060+ SAT)
v. Shawnee Empowerment Award: $1,000 per year (3.0+ GPA and 18+ ACT/960+ SAT)
