Scholarship Summary:
University of Nebraska Kearney is delighted to offer domestic freshman students, institutional scholarships based on high school GPA alone.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.7
Value of Scholarship:
The UNK Nebraska Freshmen Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Regents: $26,000 - full resident tuition for up to 120 credit hours ($6,500 per year based on 2023-24 tuition rate and 30 credit hours)
ii. Distinguished Scholar - $16,000 ($4,000 per year)
iii. Loper Achievement - $12,000 ($3,000 per year)
iv. New Nebraskan Scholarship: In-state Tuition (for out-of-state students)
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no separate scholarship application; simply apply for admission into UNK for consideration.
Please note that award will not apply to account until official documents (high school transcripts and test scores are received by UNK's Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
