Scholarship Summary:
Alfred State College is awarding merit scholarships to academically talented first-time, domestic freshmen who are non-residents of New York, entering a baccalaureate-degree program or an associate program.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must;
i. Be US citizens or permanent residents who reside and attend high school outside of New York State,
ii. Demonstrate high academic performance,
iii. Be enrolling for a baccalaureate-degree program or an associate program
Value of Scholarship:
The Alfred State NY Non-Resident Freshman Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Alfred State Scholars Out-of-State: up to $10,420 per year {for applicants entering baccalaureate-degree programs}
ii. Alfred State Pioneer Award Out-of-State: up to $4,590 per year {for applicants entering associate-degree programs}
Specific values will be determined by strength of academic background and funding availability.
Continued eligibility is contingent upon obtaining a 2.0 GPA each semester, remaining continuously enrolled full-time, living on campus, and studying on-campus on the Alfred or Wellsville campus.
