Scholarship Summary:
Alfred State College is awarding merit scholarships to academically talented first-time, New York freshmen entering a baccalaureate-degree program or an associate program.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must;
i. Be New York State residents,
ii. Demonstrate high academic performance
iii. Be enrolling for a baccalaureate-degree program or an associate program
Value of Scholarship:
The Alfred State NY resident Freshman Scholarships will be applied to non-tuition expenses (e.g., books and supplies, fees, transportation) and are valued as follows;
i. Alfred State Scholars: up to $5,000 per year {for applicants entering baccalaureate-degree programs}
ii. Alfred State Pioneer Award: up to $2,500 per year {for applicants entering associate-degree programs}
Specific values will be determined by strength of academic background and funding availability.
Scholarship Application Guide:
These scholarships require no special scholarship application; all admitted first time freshmen students who are eligible, are automatically considered for these scholarships. Please note that preference will be given to students accepted by March 15.
