Scholarship Summary:
The prestigious Daemen Trustees Scholarship is awarded to select first-year students (US citizens and residents only) of the highest caliber. 10 Trustee Scholarships are awarded annually to students with exceptional academic capabilities.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria but past recipients were in the top 5% of the applicant pool.
Overall, Daemen will be seeking candidates who combine the following qualities:
a. Academic achievement
b. Vision—for self and society
c. Enthusiasm, inspiration—the ability to bring visions and dreams to life
d. Academic and personal discipline which motivates him/her to persist
e. Leadership ability
Value of Scholarship:
The Daemen Trustee Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Full Tuition: 2 awards available
ii. $21,000: 4 awards available
iii. $17,500: 4 awards available
The Trustee scholarships are renewable for four years providing you are full time and maintain a 3.0 GPA. (This award will be extended for those majors requiring 5 or 6 years to complete i.e. Accounting, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant). Student must be enrolled at Daemen College in order to maintain the scholarship.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Apply and be accepted to Daemen College by the deadline.
ii. Eligible students will be nominated on the basis of the quality of their application determined by Daemen’s holistic admissions review policy.
iii. Selected first year students will then be invited by the President to apply for these prestigious awards. They must complete a Scholars Day application and interview during Scholars Day to be considered.
