Scholarship Summary:
The Prometheus Scholarship is awarded to qualified first-year students (domestic and international) every fall semester who have been admitted into the Honors College at Brockport. Applications are evaluated based on a holistic approach, including but not limited to high school GPA, honors and other advanced courses, honors and awards, and extracurricular activities.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration but first-year students who are admitted into the Honors College usually have a 94 high school GPA or higher
Value of Scholarship:
The Prometheus Scholarship includes an award in the amount of $6,000, applied to room expenses and a campus parking pass. In addition to the Prometheus Scholarship, Honors students receive priority registration privileges, first choice placement in a Living Learning Community, and other benefits.
The scholarship is renewable up to four years as long as a student meets the Terms of Award, which include completing 24 credits per academic year and maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
This award is stackable with the Empire Scholarship.

i. Apply for admission and be admitted into SUNY Brockport.
ii. Once admitted to Brockport, you then complete a short supplemental Honors College application by logging into your Brockport Application Portal by March 15.
