Scholarship Summary:
University of New Mexico is awarding a number of institutional scholarships to top-performing domestic freshmen students who are New Mexico non-residents.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for theses scholarships, applicants must;
i. Be US citizens or permanent residents who are non-residents of New Mexico
Value of Scholarship:
The UNM Non-Resident Institutional Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Amigo: Approximate value of $22,919 per year, plus a $200/year stipend ($100/semester) {Requisite: 23 ACT (1130 SAT) and 3.5 Cumulative GPA or 26 ACT (1240 SAT) and 3.0 Cumulative GPA}
ii. Colorado Reciprocal: Recipient pays New Mexico resident tuition rates (valued at approximately $22,919/year) {Requisite: 3.0 Cumulative GPA and Colorado resident}
iii. Arizona Reciprocal: Recipient pays New Mexico resident tuition rates (valued at approximately $22,919/year) {Requisite: 3.0 Cumulative GPA and Arizona resident}
iv. WUE and WUE Plus: WUE valued at approximately $17,357. WUE Plus valued at approximately $22,919. {WUE: 2.8 Cumulative GPA OR 18 ACT (960 SAT) | WUE Plus:
3.0 Cumulative GPA OR 20 ACT (1030 SAT)}. Eligible candidates are residents of AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, ND, NV, SD, OR, UT, WA, WY
v. LUE and LUE Plus: LUE valued at approximately $17,357. LUE Plus valued at approximately $22,919. {LUE: 2.8 Cumulative GPA OR 18 ACT (960 SAT) | LUE Plus:
3.0 Cumulative GPA OR 20 ACT (1030 SAT)}. Eligible candidates are residents of states not included in the WUE region.
