Scholarship Summary:
Aquinas College is awarding a number of premier scholarships to the best and brightest applicants (US citizens and residents only) at the annual Spectrum Scholarship Competition.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration but past recipients were in the top 20% of the applicant pool.
Value of Scholarship:
The Aquinas Spectrum Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Jerome C. Byrne Full-Tuition and Room Scholarship - One award available: Recipient must maintain a 3.7 grade point average at Aquinas for scholarship to be renewed.
ii. John E. Veneklasen Full-Tuition Scholarship - One award available: Recipient must maintain a 3.5 grade point average at Aquinas for scholarship to be renewed.
iii. R. Paul Nelson Full-Tuition Scholarships - Three awards available: Recipients must maintain a 3.5 grade point average at Aquinas for scholarship to be renewed.
iv. St. Catherine Scholarships ($2,000) - Ten awards available: Recipients must maintain a 3.0 grade point average at Aquinas for scholarship to be renewed.
v. St. Anselm Scholarships ($1,000) - Fifteen awards available: Recipients must maintain a 3.0 grade point average at Aquinas for scholarship to be renewed.
vi. St. Albertus Magnus Scholarships ($500) - Ninety-five awards available: Recipients must maintain a 3.0 grade point average at Aquinas for scholarship to be renewed.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply for this scholarship,
i. Please submit an application for admission to Aquinas College. All applicants will be automatically considered for competition eligibility by the Aquinas College Scholarship Committee. Be sure to send an official transcript and test scores in with your application.
ii. Eligible candidates are required to attend an on-campus competition to be held during their senior year.
iii. The Spectrum Scholarship Competition includes three components: Group Decision Making, Essay, and Personal Interview. The Group Decision Making exercise will take place on the date of the competition, while the essay and interview will take place throughout the days leading up to and following the date you choose.
