Scholarship Summary:
The Chancellor’s Tuition Scholarship at UNL is awarded to finalists (US citizens and residents only) in nationally recognized scholar competitions (such as National Merit, National Hispanic, National African American, National Indigenous and National Rural and Small Town Recognition programs). This scholarship can only be applied to University of Nebraska–Lincoln tuition.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Selection is based on recognition in a US national scholar competition. National Merit finalists must select the University of Nebraska–Lincoln as their first-choice school through the National Merit Corporation. Nationally recognized finalists must score a minimum of 28 on the ACT (or SAT equivalent) and have a minimum 3.500 GPA.

Value of Scholarship:
The Chancellor’s Tuition Scholarship is valued as the Full University of Nebraska–Lincoln undergraduate tuition per year for up to four years (or completion of a bachelor's degree), with three inclusive summers, including differential tuition (the Colleges of Business, Architecture and Engineering have differential tuition rates). National Merit Scholars may receive an additional $500 from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

RENEWAL BASIS
i. Students must maintain an average of 3.500 or ranking in the upper 25% of the relevant class in a degree-granting undergraduate college. 
ii. Students must earn an average of 15 credit hours each semester. Scholarship recipients must enroll full-time (at least 12 UNL credit hours) during each semester of the academic year (fall and spring semesters) in order to receive the benefit. 

Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
1. Apply for admission by by Feb. 1 (residents) or May 1 (out-of-state students) {priority deadline is Nivember 1st}.
2. Select the University of Nebraska–Lincoln as your first-choice school through the National Merit Corporation.
3. Complete the ACT/SAT on or before the February national test date and submit scores to Nebraska.
4. Upload a current unofficial high school transcript and submit your Enrollment Deposit in MyRED by May 1.
5. Submit your final high school transcript in MyRED by June 1.
