Scholarship Summary:
As a commitment to academic distinction, the Regents Scholar Tuition Commitment at UNL is awarded to Nebraska students who have demonstrated academic excellence and academic distinction at the highest level. This scholarship commitment can only be applied to resident University of Nebraska–Lincoln tuition.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
A competitive University of Nebraska–Lincoln Regents Scholar;
i. demonstrates superior academic potential (above the 90th percentile of Nebraska admits) AND/OR
ii. has a 32 ACT (or SAT equivalent) and
iii. an outstanding high school grade point average or excellent class rank.
Value of Scholarship:
The Regents Scholar Tuition Commitment covers the full resident tuition for up to 120 credit hours, including summers (or the completion of a bachelor’s degree, whichever occurs first).
RENEWAL BASIS
Students must maintain a 3.500 cumulative GPA (or rank in the top 25% of their relevant class) and complete 24 hours each academic year. Students must also complete a minimum of nine graded hours each semester.

1. Apply for admission by the November 1 priority date to receive your scholarship award notification on February 1. All application materials, including the supplemental Scholarship Application, must be submitted by February 1 to be considered.
- Admitted students who apply for admission by November 1, 2024, will receive a scholarship award notification in MyRED on February 12, 2025
2. Complete the ACT/SAT on or before the February national test date and submit scores to Nebraska.
3. Upload a current unofficial high school transcript and submit your Enrollment Deposit in MyRED by May 1.
4. The Regents Scholar review committee employs a holistic review process that includes a balanced objective assessment of academic achievement with a subjective final academic review.
