Scholarship Summary: 
University of Essex is providing scholarships to European undergraduate students who are from non-European Union countries. This scholarship will be awarded as a tuition fee discount in the first year only.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
The following are the eligibility criteria;
i. These scholarships are restricted to students who are overseas fee payers and are entirely self-funded.
ii. Students must be ordinarily resident of one of the following countries; 
  • Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine
iii. Applicants must be starting their first year of study on an undergraduate degree course at the University of Essex in 2024-25.
iv. Applicants must actively make Essex their firm choice by 12 July 2024. Applicants that become firm with Essex through rejection by their original firm choice selection elsewhere are not eligible.
v. Only one scholarship award can be made per student and the award cannot normally be held in conjunction with other University of Essex awards.
vi. This scholarship is available for the first year of study only.
vii. Successful applicants should be available for promotional activities.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Essex EU (non-European Union) Regional Scholarship is valued as £3,000 and is awarded as a discount towards the cost of tuition fees for the first year of study only.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be considered for this award. You don’t need to complete an application form. The University will assess your eligibility based on your country of domicile and fee status that you submit on your application for your place at Essex.
