The UCL- GREAT Scholarships 2025 are jointly funded by UCL and the British Council to provide financial support to citizens of Egypt, France, India and Kenya..
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible;
• Candidates must be citizens of Bangladesh, India, Malaysia and Nigeria..
• For the UCL-GREAT Scholarship, candidates must have made an application to study an eligible full-time Master's degree at UCL in 2025/26, and hold an offer of a place at UCL by the scholarship closing date.
- Candidates from Egypt, France and India must have made an application to study any full-time Master's degree in any faculty at UCL in 2025/26 in order to apply for the scholarship.
- Candidates from Kenya can apply for the GREAT Science and Technology Scholarship. You must have made an application to study a Masters degree in one of the following faculties only: Brain Sciences | Engineering Sciences | Life Sciences | Maths and Physical Sciences | Medical Sciences | Population Health Sciences.
Value of Scholarship:
There are 4 UCL-GREAT scholarships available in 2025/26; 1 for Egypt, 1 for France, 1 for India and 1 for Kenya, each worth £10,000.
The scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s tuition fees.

To apply;
i. You need to have submitted an admission application to UCL in order to apply for the scholarship.
ii. Instructions for accessing the online scholarship application form:
1. Login to Portico with your normal details.
2. Click on the ‘View’ button for the ‘Active Application’ that you wish to apply for funding for.
3. In the application screen, click on the ‘Funding’ in the menu at the top of the page.
4. You are now on the funding page. To find out which funds you are eligible to apply for click 'Check and apply' under ‘Funds Available’.
5. Click on the scholarship name of the scheme that you wish to apply for.
